Erik Bolinder
Erik Bolinder is a Boise business and real estate attorney who advises and represents emerging companies, developers, real estate investors, and entrepreneurs across Idaho. His work includes entrepreneurship, business development, mergers and acquisitions, private securities, agribusiness, commercial real estate transactions, and land-use planning. His own startup experience gives him a practical view of the legal, financial, and operational issues that early-stage businesses face.
Erik pairs legal experience with real business judgment. He served as chief legal counsel for a private, Idaho-based commercial investment company, where he handled complex matters involving over $2 billion of commercial property. Earlier in his career, Erik handled complex litigation as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri and as a commercial litigator with a St. Louis-area law firm.
Erik is also a licensed Idaho real estate broker. Since 2009, he has taught real estate law as an instructor certified by the Idaho Real Estate Commission. His experience as both a broker and an instructor gives him an insider's view of real estate transactions and the disputes that grow out of them.

Cases
Retail Food Franchise Acquisition and Sale
Erik helped a client acquire several retail food franchises, negotiating purchase agreements, franchise documents, and financing. He later assisted the client in successfully selling the franchises to another entrepreneur.
Share Dispute Defense
Erik successfully defended a light industrial company and its owners in a share dispute brought by a key employee, obtaining a complete dismissal of all claims. On appeal, the dismissal of all claims was upheld by the Idaho Supreme Court.
Agricultural Processing Facility Development
Erik assisted a client in preparing a private investment offering and forming business entities for the development of a multi-million-dollar agricultural processing facility. He also negotiated development and construction agreements and guided the client through the zoning and entitlement process.
